Best Peter Gabriel Album On Earth

From his early days as the theatrical frontman of UK prog-rock titans, Genesis, to his pioneering video work on the award-winning international smash hit, Sledgehammer, and on to the formation of the world music label, Realworld, Peter Gabriel, has displayed a restless adventurousness. His earliest solo work eschewed the sprawling, pastoral prog of his work with Genesis in favour of a leaner, more processed sound, notably on the drum machine powered hit single, Games Without Frontiers. Subsequent outings saw Gabriel pursue a more organic sound that made full use of his soulful voice, reaching his commercial apogee with 1986's multi-platinum, So. Alongside his musical career, Gabriel was also an ardent anti-apartheid, and Amnesty Interenational campaigner, and continued his humanitarian work via the WITNESS human rights project.
