This Scottish rock band formed in the mid-90s around the nexus of Simon Neil and twin brothers James and Ben Johnston, who all share vocals and songwriting duties. Biffy Clyro got their start in the Glasgow club scene while attending school, impressing crowds with their seamless blend of distortion-drenched guitars and pop songwriting. When they finally set down to recording, Biffy Clyro put out a constant stream of music - the albums Blackened Sky, The Vertigo Of Bliss, and Infinity Land were all released between 2002 and 2004. They finally accomplished their commercial and critical breakthrough with 2007's Puzzle. With the single Saturday Superhouse powering them, they fulfilled earlier promises and introduced new listeners to their sound which borrowed equally from Rush, Nirvana, and Weezer.
