From rip-roaring rockabilly to plaintive country ballads, Brenda Lee lit up the charts during the 50s and 60s. Her fiery voice belies her four foot nine inch frame and led to the nickname ‘Little Miss Dynamite’. Lee recorded her first sides at the age of 11 and scored a million-selling hit with Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree while still only 13. When the pop hits dried up in the late 60s, Lee returned to her first love, country music, and became a regular on the country charts well into the 80s. She continues to perform and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.
