Always known as the 'quiet' Beatle, during their peak, George was anything but quiet. He was as outspoken as John Lennon, especially after the Beatles had broken up. As a member of the world's greatest ever group his contributions were under appreciated at the time; he wrote some of their best songs, notably, Here Comes The Sun, Something and While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Additionally, his guitar work, although unspectacular, defined the Beatles' sound, and many of his memorable intro's and licks are as important as the song itself; notably the familiar intro's to Daytripper, Ticket To Ride, In My Life, and I Feel Fine. As a solo artist George continued to write and produce magnificent material. The posthumous Concert For George DVD highlights what an important songwriter and much-loved human being he was.
