This teen pop sensation burst onto the American nation’s screens in 2005 as the lead actress in the hit television series Hannah Montana. Playing an ordinary girl who is a pop star by night, Cyrus’s own life soon began to mirror her screen persona and every pre-teen’s dream. She debuted as a recording artist when the fourth edition of DisneyMania was released, singing a cover of James Baskett's Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah. This was followed by the release of the Hannah Montana Soundtrack, and the hits from the series Best Of Both World’s and Nobody’s Perfect, which were written and produced by Disney’s teen-pop dream-sellers, Matthew Gerrard and Robbie Nevil. Two bestselling albums of sparkly teen pop meant she became a fixture at the top of the US charts during the late 00s. She also found the time to work with her father, the 90s country sensation Billy Ray Cyrus. Although it is too soon to judge, her career course is set fair.
